Taste: If the taste of lightly fermented fruits is your thing, then this is just the right coffee for you! It has very process-oriented aromas such as banana, ripe litschies, wild blueberries, anaerobic chocolate notes such as a fudgy finish and a creamy mouthfeel. This is a special coffee in every way!
Preparation: We are very pleased to introduce you to this experimentally processed coffee from Gedeb. The coffee cherries are placed in 15-20 cm thick layers on plastic tarpaulins on drying beds and then rolled into a foil, which initiates the fermentation process. After fermentation, the cherries are dried on the drying beds until they reach the optimal drying value of about 11-12%.
Region: Gedeb is located in the Gedeo zone, which is located south of Sidama and along the west side of Guji. This area has altitudes of up to 2993 m and is located on a steep slope in the east of the Ethiopian highlands. This region is known for its particularly aromatic coffees.
